In the welcome speech, Cao Zhiling introduced the university's measures for adhering to high-quality opening up and deepening international exchanges and cooperation, with a particular focus on the achievements in materials discipline construction. He expressed hope that Chinese and foreign experts would take this event as an opportunity to further smooth communication channels, share the latest research findings and development trends in the field of materials, better aggregate international talent resources in Hunan, and provide strategic support for realizing Hunan's beautiful blueprint of "Three Highs and Four News".

Subsequently, Chinese and foreign experts delivered keynote reports focusing on themes such as "Introduction to Foreign Expert Projects", "Research on Key Technologies for Chemical Refining of Biomass Resources", "Application of Insecticidal Baculovirus in Biological Control of Insects", "R&D of Biodegradable Polymers, Polymer Blends, and Polymer Composites for Engineering Applications", "Application Prospects of High Dielectric Constant Oxide Materials in Next-Generation Power Devices" and so on.
