From December 26 to 27, the event "Foreign Experts in Hunan Visiting Hengyang" was successfully held at Hunan Institute of Technology. Yan Weidong, Second-level Inspector of the Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology; Liu Ping, Vice Mayor of the Hengyang Municipal People's Government; Cao Zhiling, Party Secretary of HNIT; Prof. Zeng Guangsheng, Deputy Party Secretary and President of HNIT; and He Jianxiong, Deputy Party Secretary of HNIT, attended the event alongside over 70 Chinese and foreign experts from 13 countries including Egypt, Cuba, the United States, Pakistan, and Malaysia.
A Science and Technology Innovation Exchange Meeting was convened on the morning of December 27. The meeting was divided into two stages: the opening ceremony and keynote reports. The opening ceremony was chaired by President Zeng Guangsheng, while the keynote report session was moderated by Deputy Party Secretary He Jianxiong.

At the opening ceremony, Yan Weidong pointed out that the Provincial Department of Science and Technology attaches great importance to the work of foreign experts in Hunan. It has successively deployed and implemented talent programs such as the "Furong Plan" and the "Three-Spike Innovative Talent Project," established platforms like National Demonstration Bases for Talent Introduction and Foreign Expert Workstations, and set up provincial-level foreign expert projects. Through a combination of projects, talents, platforms, and policies, the department has continuously optimized the innovation and creation environment for foreign experts in Hunan, yielding positive results.
