On the morning of June 2, Professor Li Keqin, a Distinguished Professor at Hunan University, was invited to deliver an academic lecture in Conference Room 2216 of the Information Building at our university. The lecture was chaired by Zhao Shaoping, Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President. Faculty members and student representatives from the School of Computer Science and Engineering attended the event.
Titled "Leading a simple life to cultivate character, attaining serenity to achieve far-reaching goals; striving continuously for self-improvement, embracing the world with virtue," the lecture featured Professor Li sharing stories from his academic career spanning over forty years. He encouraged the audience to establish clear life goals early on and pursue their academic dreams with perseverance. The lecture was both informative and highly engaging. Following the presentation, Professor Li held in-depth discussions with the attending faculty and students on topics such as academic paper writing, family education, and career planning.

Professor Li Keqin is a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences, a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, and a Fellow of the U.S. National Academy of Artificial Intelligence. He is recognized as one of the world's leading scholars and international authorities in the field of parallel and distributed computing. According to the latest composite metrics released by the Scopus citation database, he ranks first in the United States and second worldwide in the annual scientific impact ranking for distributed computing, and second in the United States and third worldwide in the career-long scientific impact ranking. He has published nearly 1,300 papers in top-tier international academic journals and is the scholar with the largest number of single-author publications in the global field of parallel and distributed computing.
