Good News: Business School Wins National Silver Award in China International “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

Recently, the organizing committee of the 8th China International Internet+ College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition released the award list of the national finals. The project Plant Pocket Doctor: Practitioners of Modern Agricultural Digitalization, submitted by the school of Business, won the Silver Award in the Startup Group of the Youth Red Dream Journey Track at the national finals. This marks the universitys first entry into the national finals of the competition, achieving a new breakthrough in the universitys participation in the Internet+ competition.


Hosted by 12 ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Education and the Peoples Government of Chongqing Municipality, the national finals of the 8th China International Internet+ College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were held online. Guided by a supervisory team from the School of Business School led by Zhang Zhongxian, the project was headed by Liu Yichen, an outstanding student from the school. Representing Hunan Province in the national finals, the project stood out from a total of 1,128 finalist projects after rounds of fierce competition with outstanding performance.


In recent years, Business School has adhered to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, integrating ideological and political education with innovation and entrepreneurship education. Taking the comprehensive cultivation of students innovative spirit, entrepreneurial awareness and innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities as a key part of college students ideological and political education, the school has developed a six-in-one innovation and entrepreneurship education model covering scientific research, teaching, practical training, competitions, incubation and operation. Cultivating innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities has been made a top priority in talent development and embedded throughout the entire talent cultivation process, thereby promoting reform in talent cultivation.
